The average time it takes for people to get 1 dan grade in Finland is about 6—8 years, but in my case it's probably 12—16 years.<br/><br/>Anyhow, I thought this is a good time to take the test, as I don't have to learn any of the techniques needed, I already know them. So, I just focus on making a unified whole, meaning performing all techiques in line with each other, not pick and mix forms.
